Hotel Causse Comtal Rodez, The Originals Relais - Gages-le-Haut

The location is ideal for exploring nearby villages. The hotel facilities were well-maintained, and the breakfast was delicious.

A lovely quiet location with comfortable room. The hotel could obviously accommodate far more people than were there on the nights we stayed and would still be comfortable. The staff were very attentive, all spoke a little English which was sufficient, with our 'schoolboy French' to deal with all requirements including complex dietary needs - which I struggle to have met even in English hotels. We would make this a destination on future trips as we enjoyed it so much. The hotel manager obviously works hard to make guests' stays pleasant and is a real character.

The location map was not particularly helpful - we eventually found the hotel with the help of directions from a shopper in Rodez-Gages.

Pool smelt bad and floor surrounding it was not clean as there were dead flies on the floor. Breakfast was expensive for what it was. Tennis courts were in state of disrepair. Decor was dreadful. No air con. This is not a three star hotel. Location suited us as were visiting family and it had a pool but used only once as not clean. Would not recommend.

Spent xmas at this hotel. The hot water and heating worked well. The food during the xmas Eve dinner was good too. The hotel was, for the most part, very quiet and it was easy to get a good night's sleep.

The hotel staff wasn't very friendly and they did not speak English. The room we booked was not what we expected and felt quite cramped.

Lovely rural setting, with good facilities nearby. the staff were friendly and the rooms were very comfortable and clean, with good wifi reception throughout the property. the pool was refreshing and offered some respite from the warm weather.
